Wow, still losing! 264.5 pounds this morning, 12.5 pounds gone. This is very encouraging considering I had a lovely brunch out with a dear friend yesterday, in addition to having dessert with my husband both Saturday and Sunday evenings after supper. A little portion control seems to go a long way. I'm not the type of person to weigh and measure every bite of food that I put in my mouth but with sweets it seems to be a great strategy. Talk about having my cake and eating it, too.
Thanksgiving is coming, just three weeks away and for the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to a holiday as a time for a few smart splurges, not an all out blow out. I'm actually daring to start thinking about small goals. This may be dangerous because if I miss the mark, I don't want negative thinking to sabotage me. Would aiming to lose 14.5 pounds before leaving for Boston on December 18th be too much of a stretch? We'll see.
