The first time I tried stevia I absolutely hated it, but after cutting way back on sugar and completely eliminating high fructose corn syrup, I became quite fond of the slightly bitter and very sweet taste. While I have no scientific proof to back this up and your mileage may vary, stevia has proven to be a very effective appetite suppressant and craving buster for me. I had been starting my day with a mug of herbal tea with a packet of stevia for the past few weeks but yesterday I found myself with a hungry feeling even after eating pretty much the same amount of food I've been enjoying in the morning and afternoon. I even had a snack pack of raw almonds, to stave off that hungry horrors feeling. It wasn't until I realized that I hadn't had my stevia laced tea did things start to click. I had my stevia and tea and felt that pleasant fullness again which lasted well into supper time. Needless to say, I had my tea and stevia this morning.
