Happy Christmas Eve! We're just back from a vigorous walk up/jog down the mountain and I'm feeling great. I'm up just one bloat pound this morning, which isn't bad considering Tuesday was my husband's birthday and we drank a bottle of Champagne and I made a very rich, traditional English meal. It was delicious! We also broke out the annual bottle of port last night, we just couldn't wait. :)
I'm just out of the shower and the coffee is on. I'm making us scrambled eggs and turkey bacon for brunch and then supper is a rather small Feast of Seven Fishes. It's just one fish, really, Dreamfield's linguine with tuna, wine and garlic sauce. It's one of my absolute favorite of my Mother's dishes since forever and I thought Christmas Eve would be the perfect occasion to have it. We have a few cookies and chocolates around if we want a sweet treat, but no formal dessert is planned. I'll limit the wine as I have to be up at 6am tomorrow for work. Blargh!
Have a joyous and safe holiday weekend, Merry Christmas!
