Friday Weigh-In

Happy Friday everyone! I'm just back from doing the last of my holiday errands. I got out early expecting an angry horde of shoppers but the roads, parking lots, shops and the mall were pretty mellow quiet considering it's just two weeks until Christmas. A bit more food and wine shopping next week and Shady Dame will be all set for The Holidays 2009!

I had a very good week eating and workout wise. I'm quite sore all over from a great workout yesterday. Lisa and I were doing an ab set at the end yesterday's gym session (running and hill sprints and a killer leg set) and I was lamenting about how hard side plank looks but decided to try it anyway. I actually managed to do side plank, 10 seconds on each side!

Despite the great week I weighed-in at 184 yet again this morning. Three weeks does not a plateau make so I'll call it a holding pattern. I try not to get frustrated by the number on the scale but I'm not made of stone, sometimes seeing the scale not budge gives me the redass. I will continue working on not letting it wind me up, I know what to do and will keep on keeping on. I will enjoy my holidays and definitely reach my goal sometime in 2010.

Now on to some fun stuff, what is your favorite holiday song? I love Christmas music so much, it's on in the car and in the house from the day after Thanksgiving until New Year's Day. My most favorite song is the amazing Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy mash up by Bing Crosby and David Bowie. I just light up every time it comes on. I love any and all holiday music by Robert Goulet, anything by The Carpenters, especially What are You Doing New Year's Eve? because that's our wedding anniversary it makes me melt every time. I love anything by Dean Martin especially his version of Baby It's Cold Outside. Another song that's close to my heart is one you may not have heard. It's called Dominic The Donkey by the wonderful Lou Monte. Have a listen...
