Year End Weigh-In and Happy Anniversary!

New Year's Eve has always been my very favorite day of the year and the fact that today is our 8th wedding anniversary makes it all the more special. Rob and I are spending the day together, brunch at my favorite French patisserie just off Marietta square where they have the most wonderful café au lait and delectable breakfast dishes. I've got a special bottle of Champagne for us to toast the next year of marriage as well as the New Year. I'm making roast beef for dinner with asparagus, Brussels and Yorkshire pudding, of course. Topping off the meal will be torrone, a lovely Italian wedding candy that was always part of our holiday celebrations growing up. My mother surprised me with a box to serve at our wedding. We have had them every anniversary since and they continue to be my favorite celebration confection.

What have you got planned, how will you ring in 2010?

2009 has been an amazing year and as excited I am about 2010, I'm a little sad to see it go. I learned so much this year, so much about myself and how wonderful life can be by letting go of the demons and by grabbing on to joy. If 2009 hasn't been the year you found your joy, you have a clean slate, a fresh new opportunity to do so in 2010.

I'm finishing out 2009 with 186.5 pounds reading on the scale, 3 pounds of holiday bloat joining me into the New Year. But all in all the year was a smashing success. I've never felt better, never enjoyed living more. I plan on carrying that joy right into a whole new decade and can't wait to keep sharing that joy with each and every one of you. Thank you for coming on this journey with me, I'll see you in the New Year. Have a wonderful celebration!

Cheers everyone, Happy New Year!
