Friday Weigh-In

Note to spammers: First, learn to spell. Second, don't even waste your time spamming my blog because your misspelled rubbish will be automatically rejected. Thanks and have a swell day.

With that out of the way, on to the post sickness weigh-in, 180 pounds. I suppose I deserve a little nugget of joy after this week of intestinal horrors. I wondering if that will swing up a little next week as I become fully hydrated and start getting my calories back up to where they were. I've been barely managing 1300 calories the past couple of days.

I'm just 3 pounds away from losing 100 and just 5 pounds away from 175. 175 is a rather ominous number for me. You see, every diet I ever attempted, 175 has always been my goal weight and I have never reached it. I've come close before, only to "fall off the wagon" and eat my way back up to 200 and beyond. But this time is different and I've got you in my cross hairs!

I've got some more resting and more hydrating to do but before I go, I want to wish my friend Lisa best of luck today. She's embarking on a two-day juice fast. YOU CAN DO IT! And you'll be so happy you did.

Have an awesome Friday!

  1. a good number, but a small consolation, i'm sure. hope you continue to get your strength back in full measure!!!

    here's to a great weekend --

  2. hope u feel better! you will def hit 175 and i have no doubt that you made a complete lifestyle change. there's no going back for u!

  3. Way to go, Andra! I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better, and if you gain a pound back next week don't sweat it. I know how depleting it is to your body when you have tummy bugs. You inspired me to create my own blog, by the way! Hopefully I will be as successful as you've been. You're an inspiration and I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything you share.

  4. Hi :), I found your blog on blogcatalog. I really love food. I could eat pizza everyday for the rest of my life. I'm trying to actually to go on a work diet. Whenever I'm at work I would watch what I eat. Don't know how it's working but it is. The hard thing for me is trying to use that type of diet all day long. Wow... congratulations on losing 100 pounds, that's just nothing short of amazing. I'm actually trying to train for a half marathon. I am trying to lose maybe around 50 pounds. While trying to lose weight and gain more endurance and stamina for the run, it's going to be hard. It's very motivating to see other people manage to achieve similar type of goals. It really helps me believe that I can do it as well. Thanks. :)

  5. Wow, 100 pounds is an amazing accomplishment! I am struggling with my stubborn last 15-20 and just started NRL4W to try and get things moving. Anyway I am glad you are feeling better and good luck reaching that next roadmark - 175!

  6. Thanks for all the amazing comments and encouragement. I love you guys! And welcome to our newest reader Kattie.

Kattie, I hope you read the blog from start to finish. All the information to live a healthy lifestyle is contained in the pages. I did all the work and talk explicitly about what worked for me and what didn't. What definitely did not work was a the diet mentality. Diets do not work, but a whole body approach to health and wellness can lead to significant weight loss without ever once thinking about a diet.
