Sunday Photo Day

Happy Sunday! It was such a gorgeous day yesterday but today started out rainy and gray. But the sky is starting to clear and the sun is trying to make an appearance. Last night I made the Thai Beef Noodle Salad that I blogged about the other week and it was awesome. The dressing came out exactly like I remember having at the restaurant. Sweet, sour and super hot, the perfect foil for chilled noodles and all those crisp, crunchy veggies. I highly recommend it.

A taste sensation!

This photo is the follow up to the one of my sister and me from last week. Or perhaps the pre-cursor. New York City, 1986...

Revere Girls

You couldn't have your hair too big in those days. My sister became the master of getting it that much higher, fuller and bigger. She worked magic with a spiral perm, a teasing comb and a giant can of Aqua-Net extra super hold. She's going to kill me for posting this, but I couldn't resist. I love you Girlie!

  1. Wow...I graduated HS in '86...I don't remember hair quite being like that. Funny how you picture your current self in your old days. I can't even imagine how it "was" anymore.

  4. See, it was different for Revere Girls. Our hair had to be the biggest of all the towns around ours. Check out our Facebook group "The BIG Hair from Revere Club" if you don't believe me. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=53061101809

  5. Photo day:
Andra, did you take down the BIG HAIR pic? For some reason I'm just seeing a white box and no matter what I do I cannot view the pic.

  7. As a kid I spent the weekends at my Dad's in Revere and had to be sure to bring extra aqua net so I could get my big hair even bigger. I'll have to dig out some old photos of my Revere hair days. ;)
