Sunday Photo Day

I love Sunday, even the word is relaxing. We planned to do more planting this afternoon but it was very windy, so windy that we heard branches cracking here and there around the property. We didn't think it was safe to be down underneath them so we'll push that out to later in the week. I did venture down to snap a quick photo.

The speed at which these tiny seeds have grown is really amazing. All the sprouts started out looking pretty much the same, but now they are starting to differentiate into what they will be when mature. It's been just three weeks and the lettuce mix looks just like it does in the bags in the supermarket, only smaller.

Not long before this will be in a bowl with dressing

I just got back from the Black Phoenix Will Call event. I had a very enjoyable evening with some of the greatest smelling ladies in town. I caught up on the latest perfume updates and made a few purchases. There were some prototypes of unreleased scents based on different honeys. I can't stop sniffing my right arm which I've slathered with Horse Chestnut Honey perfume. I cannot wait for this one to be released, I want to bathe in it. If you haven't ventured over to the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's main site, check it out. Some of the most unique hand blended perfume oils you will ever find.

I have my teeth cleaning first thing in the morning then I'm back at the gym to start Stage 4 of New Rules, it's been a nice rest week but now I'm rearing to go. I want to see if I can work up to the front squat/push press with the Olympic bar. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and see you in the week.

  1. Exciting about your lettuce! I just ate the first lettuce from my garden tonight. It was so good and still warm from the sun. I hope you get to do the same soon.
