  3. Welcome Liza! This post is a great place to start...http://lovetoeathatetoexercise.blogspot.com/2009/12/but-how-did-you-do-it.html Click on the links to different articles offsite and to other posts I've written.

Put your health first, forgive yourself and treat your body with love and care. Eventually the number on the scale will catch up to how great you feel about yourself.

  4. Congratulations on the article!! I hope it drives more people to your blog.

Have you thought about writing a book or e-book on your experience? I think lifestyle change books are really motivating to people!

  5. I enjoyed the article. I'm sure others will check out the day to day posts. That's what it's all about anyway, isn't it? You've shown that small changes add up and taking it slow (no extremes or fads) will win out in the end. Thanks for linking us to the whole article.

  8. Your journey is so inspiring! I found your blog/article through this Experience Life issue. I too have struggled with my weight (for me since college), and it took the birth of my twin daughters in Feb of 2010 to kick start my weight loss. I want to be a positive roll model for my children (I also have a 4 yr. old boy) and teach them to live healthfully. As a parent, I realized that we needed to live 'healthy' as a family if I wanted to impart that lesson with them permanently. My biggest hope is that my example will carry-on through their adulthood, so they can grow to be happy, healthy, productive people. So far, I have lost 40 lbs. from my original pre-pregnancy weight. Like you, I just got sick of being overweight and decided that I was really going to do something about it!!!! We completely changed our eating habits and I have intergrated excercise as part of my life. I have about 77 lbs. to go, but I am trying to take baby steps and focus on one goal at a time (actually mini-goals). I was really happy to read your story and I hope that my own weight loss journey can be as successful as yours!!!!
