Must Listen!

I've mentioned the Fat2Fit podcast before but the latest episode is definitely a must listen.

Fat2Fit #101, Losing Weight Too Quickly

I listened on my walk this morning and couldn't help but think at how fantastic the main topic is and how much I wanted to share it with my readers. Their core advice: "if you love the life of a fit, healthy person, you will become a fit, healthy person" never ceases to make me smile because it is so true. Also, the weekly recipe looks AMAZING!

Speaking of my walk, this is my fourth day of exercise in a row. I promised myself 5 days this week with an optional bonus walk or swim with Rob with weekend. I'm well on my way. I completed two weight training workouts, a walk up the mountain and this morning's walk around the neighborhood. Tomorrow I will lift weights again. I feel sore but energized and accomplished. This is what exercise does for me. I have to keep this first and foremost in my mind when I start to waffle about taking the day off.

Did you get your workout in today?

  1. Good for you!

I'm usually good about going to the gym, but this week my boyfriend and I had the "great" idea of borrowing a treadmill from his mom's house that wasn't being we can run at home rather than going out.

The willpower required to jump on a treadmill that is actually sitting in my living room is apparently much greater than the willpower required to walk the 15 blocks to and from my gym (and working out for an hour and a half)., I haven't done my exercise today. Or yesterday. Or the day before.

I must figure out how to manage this!

  2. Thanks for sharing. I enjoy reading your blog that I stumbled on. I'm just getting started on my journey of loosing weight. Well I mean seriously. I'm always on a diet. LOL But JUST today I was thinking how sloooowwww the weight is coming off. Not fair I keep saying. I'm doing everything right...yada yada yada...but ...then I realize how great I feel and how exercise is slowing becoming a habit and it's all worth or not, it's not a race. I plan on checking out more of the podcasts - when I walk which is three mies a day and I ride my bike usually 5-10 miles a day.
