Happy Sunday!

It's a gorgeous and quite cool late summer morning here in Marietta, GA. It was 57 degrees when we we woke up, it's 64 now with a high of 84 degrees in the forecast. Rob and I just finished a long walk and now the coffee is brewing. It's going to be a great weather day, perfect for sitting outside with a good book, later with a good glass of wine. For dinner, I'm roasting a farm chicken (I'm calling this one Sandra Lee) and serving it with a roasted summer vegetable panzanella. I love Sunday!

I'm always interested in knowing more about you guys who come and read my ramblings. So please tell me...

Where in the world are you?
What is the weather like in your neck of the woods?
What are y'all having for Sunday dinner?

I'm looking forward to reading all about it!

  1. I live in GA! About 1.5 hours from the Atlanta airport.

The weather is GREAT! I shut the air off and opened all the windows. Waiting on the husband to finish mowing the grass so we can take The Trio outside to play.

Not sure about Sunday dinner. Thinking turkey burger meatloaf along with the fresh baked bread that is baking!

  2. Sounds like a perfect day! I am working today, but the weather here in upstate NY is cool (upper 60s), sunny, and breezy. Very fall like.

We are planning on probably some Chinese for dinner. My dad and hubby are going to work on our car, so we are bringing over dinner :D

  3. nice blog.. have a view of my blog when free.. .. do leave me some comment / guide if can.. if interested can follow my blog...

  4. Maryland, the weather is beautiful today. Tuesday we're going back to the 90s (bleck) but for now it is lovely!

I love Sunday dinners, I'm trying to make it a tradition. As I am not the best cook, sometimes things work out GREAT and sometimes we order pizza. Tonight is Orange Chicken in the crockpot. We'll see if it is a keeper!

  5. Hi Andra!

I'm Ro, I'm ZomaTheSadist from the forum. I am in sunny beautiful Albuquerque. The worst of the oppressive summer heat is over, and today it is 81 degrees. =) Green chile roasting season is in full sweing, and we are getting our second 40 lb sack of green chile today. (We are serious spice lovers in this house.)

    For dinner? I want TACOS.

  6. I'm stuck in the city (Boston, MA) this weekend because the bf had to work, otherwise I'd be in Ryegate, VT. We missed getting punched by the Duke of Earl and the temps have been crisp and cool with white puffy clouds decorating the sky. Absolutely gorgeous late summer/early fall weather. Not sure what's for dinner tonight. I'm still stuffed from too much pizza last night. Hope you're enjoying the long weekend. Have fun!

  7. I gave you an award on my blog! :-)

  8. I'm here in sunny Northern California.

The weather has been so nice today and be in the 70's by the end of the week. Real fall like weather, thank god because I am due to give birth in 19 days, I can't stand the heat right now.

As for Sunday dinner, my husband & I are dropping off daughter at grandmas and having a date night. our first one in 2 years. Maybe we will visit a nice quiet place with really great food or stay home, order in and watch a movie.

  9. I'm in east Texas :) Beautiful today, about 85 right now. What a treat!!!
Dinner- we had grilled chicken, brown rice and broccoli. Yum!

  10. Here in central Wisconsin, the days have been chilly and sunny - a wonderful break after the heatwave of 2010. Nights in the low 50's, days in the low 70's. Heaven.

We had our standard Sunday-night Supper of popcorn while watching an episode of The Waltons. :) Our pastor's family of 6 loves the tradition... it's great fun, and we can do it together.

I'm a huge Andra fan, and feel like a stalker sometimes with how often I read your stuff. It's a treat to learn from your journey. :)

  11. I'm in a Dallas suburb. It was in the low 90s today. I generally don't cook on Sunday but for some reason I got the baking bug today. Tomorrow will be the big day - the annual feed the carnivores day.

  12. omg I stumbled upon your blog by accident AND I LOVE IT!! I had to add you!

  13. Maryland and the weather was perfect this weekend! Great for boating. Wonderful breeze.

We were out on the boat all day so I had a small dinner when I got back. Tasty Bite makes a Couple of Gluten Free options so I had a wonderful bowl of Madras Lentils. Red Beans, Lentils, and Spices in a tomato sauce. Delicious and only 120 calories per serving.

  14. Thanks for the award, Blubeari!

And thanks for all the comments sharing your weather and where you live. I love that I "know" people from all over. :)

  15. St. Louis, MO and the weather was awesome this weekend!

Our Sunday dinner was turkey burgers with a locally made peach grilling sauce. It was yummy!
