Mercy of the Court

I mentioned jury duty in my last post. I reported on Monday, spent all day in the jury selection process. I returned Tuesday morning to find myself sitting in the jury box with the other lucky jurors and then the opening statements were given.

It's been a very long and exhausting week and we're only half done. My life is in limbo and we truly are at the "mercy of the court."  My fellow jurors are a nice bunch and the case is very interesting but listening to hours and hours of expert testimony is tough. Last night was the first time I was home before 7pm.

I have an overflowing laundry basket to deal with and look forward to cooking a proper meal for Rob and myself this evening. I'm staying in my pajamas ALL DAY and there is no way in hell that I'm putting on a bra.

Have a great weekend, I intend to!

  2. I did jury service about a year ago. There's a lot of waiting around but I found the actual case work fascinating. Enjoy.
